*Many people across the state own land or homes that have been passed down without a will or a formal probate process.  This is known as "heir's property".  This situation can make it difficult to sell, refinance, or make improvements to property, and sometimes result in families losing their land.  Legal Services aim to help this community understand their rights, explore options, and connect with other legal resources.
